Weston-super-Mare is a great seaside resort.

Weston-super-Mare has all the traditional seaside attractions, including the famous donkeys!

 

The wide sweep of Weston Bay has miles of clean sandy beach, and a level promenade boasting superb views over the Channel. There is lovely coastline and countryside to explore in Cheddar, Wells, Bristol, Bath and the Mendip and Quantock Hills are all within easy reach.

 

Weston beach has designated areas for wind and water sports, and there are boat trips around Weston Bay and further afield.

 

Undercover attractions include the the North Somerset Museum and the worlds largest dedicated Helicopter Museum. There is a wide variety of entertainment on at the Playhouse Theatre and the Winter Gardens to suit all ages, and an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs.

Bath – With its Georgian Crescent, quaint streets and many shops. A World Heritage site with Britain’s finest Roam remains and over 5,000 listed buildings.

Longleat Safari Park – Safari park and stately home of the Marquis of Bath, it offers a wonderland of attractions to suit all ages set in 900 acres of parkland.

Rich’s Cider – For cider and scrumpy made from locally grown produce.

Moorlynch Vineyard – Experience the whole process of wine production and take a stroll through the vineyard.

City of Wells – This medieval, cathedral city, steeped in history has many fascinating places of interest to visit, not least the Cathedral with its magnificent west front, it also contains the largest gallery of medieval sculpture in the world.

Clarks Village – Retail outlet shopping centre, famous for the many high street names trading here. Set in an attractive village environment it provides for a unique shopping experience.

Glastonbury – Home of the ancient abbey that is one of the oldest religious foundations in Britain. A place steeped in history and legend.

West Somerset Railway – Twenty miles of stunning Somerset countryside and coastal scenery. There’s something for all the family on Britain’s longest and most lovingly restored heritage railway.

Fleet Air Arm Museum – Concorde is just one of many historic aircraft on display, tracing the exhilarating story of aviation. Here you can see the largest naval aircraft collection in Europe.

Weston super Mare Golf Course – An 18 hole links course of 6279 yards situated alongside the sand dunes; it commands views of the Axe Valley, the Welsh Coast and Mountains. Superbly maintained, the course provides a good test for the experienced golfer and plenty of encouragement for the beginner.

Fishing – Sea fishing is available along the sea front at Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea or through chartering a boat for the day. Also coarse fishing at Northam Farm.
